Bronco Alert

BroncoAlert is a phone and text-based system allowing the university to proactively notify students, faculty and staff when an emergency is taking place on or near campus. BroncoAlert will only be used in critical situations, including weather emergencies, with potential to affect health or safety.

Boise State only uses the BroncoAlert system in the event of an immediate threat to safety, serious emergency, and/or weather-related delay or closure. All personal information submitted remains private.

To opt-in to BroncoAlert, please use the following instructions.

Student Opt-In

To opt-in to the BroncoAlert system:

Step 1: Log in to myBoiseState                                             Step 2: Go to the Student page, then click on

                                                                                                     Student Center in the “Services” menu.


Step 3: Click the Personal Information menu,                      Step 4: Add your phone number, and

item  then click on Bronco Alert                                                 verify your email, then click save.


Faculty and Staff Opt-In

To opt-in to the BroncoAlert system:

  1. Log in to myBoiseState.
  2. Go to the Employee page, then click on PeopleSoft in the “Services” menu.
  3. Click the BroncoALERT section.
  4. Verify the existing information is correct, or modify the information as appropriate. Note that phone numbers must entered in ###/###-#### format.
  5. Click Save.
